§ 86-73. Officers.

  • (a)

    Chair. The board shall elect from its members a chair of the board.

    (b)

    Secretary. The board shall elect from its members a secretary to the board.

    (c)

    Treasurer. The finance director shall be ex officio treasurer of the board and the administrative officer of the retirement system. Nothing contained in this chapter shall prevent the treasurer from serving as secretary of the board. The treasurer shall be bonded in an amount to be determined by the board. The cost of the bond shall be paid from the police pension fund; provided, however, if the bond of the treasurer required by the city is sufficient to meet the board's requirements, no additional bond shall be required of the treasurer.

    (d)

    Legal adviser. The city attorney shall be legal adviser to the board.

    (e)

    Terms. The terms of the respective officers specified in this section shall be as determined by the rules and regulations established by the board.
