§ 34-31. Imposition of charge.

  • Pursuant to the provisions of C.R.S. § 29-11-101 et seq., as amended, there is hereby imposed upon all telephone exchange access facilities within the city an emergency telephone charge per exchange access facility, whenever and for such period of time as the Jefferson County Emergency Telephone Service Authority deems appropriate, in an amount up to and including $0.40 per exchange access facility or two percent of the tariff rate as defined in C.R.S. § 29-11-102(2), whichever at any point in time is lower. Upon recommendation of the Jefferson County Emergency Telephone Service Authority, the city council may, by resolution, raise or lower the emergency telephone charge, but in no event shall such charge exceed the amount authorized by the tariff as approved by the state public utilities commission.
