§ 10-66. Fees.

  • (a)

    Applicants for or holders of an amusement arcade license shall pay a yearly license fee of $500.00. Applicants for or holders of an amusement center license having six to ten amusement devices on the premises shall pay a yearly license fee of $250.00. Applicants for or holders of an amusement center license having five or fewer amusement devices on the premises shall pay a yearly license fee of $100.00.

    (b)

    Operators of amusement arcades shall pay a yearly fee of $35.00 per amusement device maintained upon the premises, and operators of amusement centers shall pay a yearly fee of $70.00 per amusement device maintained upon the premises; provided, however, that in the event that any amusement device for which the amusement device fee has been paid is removed from the premises, the fee paid shall be transferable to any replacement device brought on to the premises during the same calendar year and no additional fee shall be payable. In no event shall the operator of an amusement arcade or amusement center be entitled to a refund of any fees in the event that the number of amusement devices maintained upon the premises is reduced during a calendar year.

    (c)

    Applicants for an amusement arcade license shall pay an investigation fee of $300.00 to cover the cost of investigation required by this article.

    (d)

    The city clerk shall issue a receipt for the payment of these fees.

    (e)

    Effective January 1, 1985, any operator of an amusement center who maintains two or fewer amusement devices upon licensed premises shall not be subject to payment of the yearly fee, as provided in subsection (b) of this section, for amusement devices maintained upon such licensed premises.
