All annexation of unincorporated territory to the City shall comply with the requirements
and procedures set forth in the Municipal Annexation Act, Colorado Revised Statutes
1973, Title 31, Article 12, Part 1 (§ 31-12-101 et seq.), as amended. Any disconnection
of incorporated territory from the City shall be done in accordance with § 31-12-501
to § 31-12-503 thereof, as amended, except with respect to the effective date of a
disconnection ordinance adopted pursuant thereto, which shall be governed by the provisions
of the Arvada Charter, § 5.8.
