§ 86-158. Disability benefits received from other sources.

The board shall determine, prior to making any award for disability payments, whether the claimant is eligible for workmen's compensation and/or group insurance benefits as a result of such disability and shall reduce any such disability benefits to which the member is otherwise entitled under this chapter by the amount that the disabled member receives from workmen's compensation or group insurance benefits. Group insurance benefits as used in this section means group insurance obtained and paid for by the city.
