  • Any member who has 20 or more years of credits service, shall be eligible to receive a service retirement pension based on the employee's final base pay, allowing 2½ percent for each year of credited service to a maximum of 65 percent. Final base pay is to be determined on the basis of the highest total salary received during any three consecutive years or 36 months of service preceding the date of retirement, divided by the number of months for which pay is received. If the member does not have three consecutive years (or 36 months) of service, the member's final base pay shall be determined on the basis of the total salary received divided by the number of months for which pay was received.
