§ 50-26. Maintenance and repair of embankments, etc.

The owner of any ditch for irrigation or other purpose shall carefully maintain the embankments thereof and keep such ditch thoroughly clean, so that the water of such ditch may not flow upon or damage the premises of others or the streets or alleys of the city. He shall make and keep in repair tail or waste ditches conveying the overflow water of such ditches beyond the city with as little waste as possible.
