§ 50-23. Guards at opening of flumes and certain ditches.

  • In all cases, where the water of an irrigation ditch within the city passes through a flume or covered ditch having a cross-sectional area equal to or greater than 50 square inches and a length of 20 feet or more it shall be guarded at the intake end by suitable bars of steel or wood, spaced not to exceed five inches from centers, vertically or horizontally, or some other form of guard equivalent thereto in the opinion of the engineering division.
