§ 38-122. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms, and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Nuisance means any condition prohibited by this article, or by Chapter 3 of the International Property Maintenance Code (I.P.M.C.). In addition, those offenses which are known to the common law of the land and the state statutes as nuisances shall also be considered nuisances under this code.

    Nuisance property means any structure, premises, lot, or real property that is determined to have any nuisance or nuisance condition within or upon it.
